The 32,000 grain capacity WS6M-HC uses the high-flow 21 GPM Fleck 5000SXT valve (1" connections standard) with an integral microprocessor based control. The SXT programmable control incorporates metered "on-demand" design for superior performance and efficiency, and includes an on-board 48 hour power back-up to maintain time settings during a power outage. The almond colored resin tank, manufactured by Structural, is poly lined and fiberglass reinforced. The standard softener is a "two tank" configuration with a separate round poly brine tank in almond. This softener includes a turbulator type distributor at no extra charge! The system is supplied with 1 ft3 of premium grade Ionac C-249 resin, brine valve & safety float, brine tank grid (salt platform), and system by-pass valve. No turbulator available for Up-Flow systems.

Description
By-pass valve - This is a connection to your water supply that allows you to take your softener out-of-service. Used when you are away for an extended time, or if service is required to the unit. Included!
Round Brine Tank and Grid - Our water softener system are always supplied with high quality round brine tanks, and brine tank grids. Also called a salt tank platform, a grid is installed into the bottom of the brine (salt) tank, and prevents "salt bridging". Bridging can occur when too much contact with water causes salt pellets to "stick" to each other. Included!
Ion Exchange Resin -CAI Technologies water softener systems come standard with Ionac C-249. Supplied by the Bayer Corporation, and known as one of the highest grade cation exchange resins available, with C-249 your unit can provide years of trouble-free performance. Included!
Turbulator Distributor - The distributor is the riser tube that is located in the center of the ion-exchange resin bed. With a standard design, water passes down through the resin and up through the distributor during the water softening process. CAI adds a turbulator in standard "down-flow" designed water softeners. During regeneration, a turbulator physically moves the resin from the bottom of the bed to the top, stirring up the resin to increase sediment removal and water softener efficiency. Turbulator available in 24K, 32K and 48K sized standard water softener systems only - up-flow, 64K and larger systems are equipped with a high flow riser and gravel underbed. Included!

Insulating Tank Jacket - Tank jackets are available that add a designer look to your softener. Jackets also provide insulation, and prevent “sweating” in damp locations. Tank jackets must be used when installing a softener out-of-doors (jacket not required for cabinet style system). Jackets are single piece in almond – not available for 64K size softeners. Additional $30
Cabinet Style - Limited floor space, or installing out-of-doors? A single tank designer cabinet style is available. The "Windsor" cabinet comes complete with a full cover hood, brine tank grid & float. No cabinet available for 48K and larger systems. Additional $45
Up-Flow Option - Up-Flow means that the flow direction is reversed when compared to a standard down-flow unit. With an Up-Flow unit, the untreated water meets the most active portion of the resin bed first - maximizing iron removal performance. Additional $60
Iron Eliminator Option - For installations with high iron content (greater than 2 ppm), we recommend our Iron Eliminator upgrade package. By specifying the Iron Eliminator upgrade package, your softener will be specially configured with high quality fine mesh resin for long life and better resistance to iron fouling. The package also includes a special Res-Up chemical feeder mounted within the brine tank. When filled with Res-Up iron-out additive, the feeder unit will automatically add the proper amount of cleaner to the brine solution promoting highly effective cleaning (regeneration) of the softener resin. For proper operation, the softener distribution system is configured with a high flow basket distributor and gravel underbed rather than a turbulator. Additional $60
Res-Up -Used in iron Eliminator packages (above), Res-Up is added to the brine tank drip feeder, and promotes the removal of any excess iron in your water softener system. Available in four 1 gallon case quantities, and normally a 2 to 3-year supply. Additional $70
