CAI Technologies Water Treatment Division supplies high quality Twin Tank Water Softeners for  residential, commercial, and industrial water treatment applications.  These water softeners feature the advanced Fleck 9000 and 9100 controls valves, high quality ion exchange resins, and properly designed commercial quality tanks and brining systems.

A twin tank (duplex) water softener provides many advantages over traditional single tank designs, such as:

• Continuous 24/7 supply of softened water - Single tank systems regenerate (on average) one time per week.  During this 2 hour regeneration, a single tank water softener is automatically by-passed, and any water used is untreated until the water softener comes back online.  With a twin tank water softener design, there is always a tank online, so even when the standby tank is undergoing regeneration, you’re still supplied with softened water.
• Pretreated regeneration water - A single tank system uses untreated water during the regeneration process.  This is sometime not desirable if the water contains a high level of impurities, like iron or manganese.  With a twin design, the standby tank undergoing regeneration is being supplied with pre-treated/pre-softened water.  With the iron and manganese already removed, the regeneration process is more efficient.  This can result in improved performance, and a longer water softener service life.

The Fleck 9000 control valve family is available in two versions, the brass body 9000, and the Noryl (plastic) body 9100.  The 9000 brass body provides improved structural integrity – good for severe service commercial application.  With a lower cost, and improved chemical resistance, the Noryl 9100 is a better design for most residential and light commercial use.  The control is also available in both electro-mechanical metered and digital “SE” microprocessor metered designs.  Called the “Econominder” the electro-mechanical metered unit is an industry standard proven performer.  The more advanced SE (simple electronics) microprocessor metered design allows for easier setup and adjustment of the water softener.
